MARGHITA TRADITION SINCE 1376
In 1376, King Ludovic the Great of Hungary granted Marghita the right to hold fairs, which made the town experience economic development, becoming an important fair.
After 1800, there were essential changes in the economic and social life of the locality. The number of manufactures increases and production diversifies, and fairs are held weekly. Friday was then established as market day.
Through this project, the agricultural market will be modernized, the agricultural producers in the area will have optimal conditions for selling their products, and the inhabitants of Marghita will have access to fresh agricultural products.
